About us

In 1993, I moved into the house next door to the Jolly’s. Almost instantly, we were the best of friends. He would tell me what was going on in his life and I did the same. I always thought he was attractive and I loved him, I truly loved him, but I couldn't see myself dating him. He was my best friend! Brad on the other hand will tell you he loved me from the moment we met.

We both went away to college in 2003. We stayed in contact for the first year but after that life became complicated! I was in a serious relationship and he had been dating the same girl for quite some time. In 2006 I decided I had had enough and I wanted to come home. My relationship was awful and that ended. When I arrived home, I found he had also moved back home. We started hanging out again and were as close as we had ever been.

In 2009, after "sowing my wild oats"for a couple years, I decided I wanted Brad in my life and I was ready to give us a chance. He had recently broken up with his off and on girlfriend of six years. One night in May, after doing some promotional work at a Louisville baseball game, I went home and decided to tell Brad my feelings. A little liquid courage may have been involved...I called him and asked him to meet me at the fence. The fence is a very special place for us. We would always meet there and talk. The fence is literally in our back yards.  He comes outside and I am trying my best to come up with the right words, but instead of the right words coming out, something like this came out "So I have decided, were going to date and yeah." He could tell that I had some liquid courage and he told me to go home, go to bed and we will talk about this in the morning if I still felt the same way. Ouch! He left me standing there, but I did as he said and I went to bed.

The next morning we began dating. We never had the conversation, we didn't need to. That was the best decision I ever made. I could not ask for a better man in my life.

In November of 2011, we bought our first home together! It needed a little updating, and we thought we were up for the challenge... And were still updating our money pit!

December of that same year we brought home our first fur baby Lucy! Oh my goodness I love this dog so much! She is a German Shorthaired Pointer. She is way too smart for her own good.

May 12, 2012 we were married and that was the happiest day of our lives!

A year and half into our marriage I finally talked Brad into getting a second fur baby. Meet Bubby. He is the sweetest little love muffin! He is a shelter rescue pup. We assume he is a lab/ beagle mix.

I LOVE my fur babies!

We are currently waiting not so patiently for baby Jolly.
